Throughout the year, our team selects different charities to support, ensuring that our efforts have a wide-reaching impact on various aspects of our community and society.
July: Celebrating Freedom with Fisher House Foundation
In July, our T-shirts sported patriotic designs in honor of Independence Day. Our team raised $1,200 for the Fisher House Foundation. This organization provides comfort homes for military and veteran families while their loved ones receive medical treatment. Our employees enthusiastically contributed to this cause, and, as a veteran-owned company, it was especially heartwarming to see everyone proudly wearing their 4th of July-themed shirts.
September: Remembering 9/11 with Tunnel to Towers Foundation
This September, our T-shirts featured powerful designs that paid tribute to the heroes and victims of the tragedies that occurred on September 11, 2001. Our team raised $1,530 for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a foundation that provides support to families of fallen first responders and military veterans. It was inspiring to see our employees wearing these special T-shirts throughout the month and knowing the worthwhile cause they were supporting.
October: Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness with the Tutu Project
This month’s T-shirts showcase the pink ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Reliance Medical employees donated $1,720 to the Tutu Project, a charity that raises funds to help those in need of financial support as they manage their breast cancer diagnosis. As breast cancer affects one in eight women, our hope is that this month’s T-shirts go beyond raising awareness for the charity, and also encourage self-exams and regular mammograms to catch and treat the disease as early as possible.
