Looking back on 2025, Reliance Medical Transport celebrates a year filled with celebration, philanthropy, comradery, and exceptional customer service.
In 2025 alone, we proudly welcomed 106 new team members, with each one playing a vital role in supporting our mission and the patients who rely on us every day.
Celebration
Reliance Named “Best Ambulance Service in Virginia Beach”
We were named “Best Ambulance Service in Virginia Beach” by Business Rate!
This award was more than just a proud moment for Reliance; it was a meaningful one. “This award is a representation of the effort we put in every day to make sure we are providing the best possible service to all of our patients and their families,” said Elizabeth Nethery, Reliance Medical Transport Operations Chief. It’s not just our technical skills that count. Our team members bring compassion and integrity to every call.
Philanthropy
Food Bank
Reliance Medical Transport volunteered at the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, helping pack boxes and weekend “backpacks” for children facing food insecurity. These bags are distributed through local schools to ensure kids have access to meals when they’re not in the classroom. We are proud to support our community and help make a difference.
T-Shirt Drives
In 2025, Reliance continued our tradition of t-shirt drives, working to make a meaningful difference in our community and beyond. As in previous years, our team selected a variety of charities to support, ensuring our efforts touched multiple important causes. In 2025, our t-shirt drives raised over $4,500, benefiting organizations dedicated to Pediatric Cancer Research and Mental Health Awareness.
Earth Day Clean Up
In honor of Earth Day, both our Salisbury and Virginia Beach teams rolled up their sleeves and took part in community clean-up efforts!
We’re proud of our teams for stepping up and showing that at Reliance Medical Transport, caring for the planet is just as important as caring for people.
Trunk or Treat
We loved sharing Halloween cheer at local trunk-or-treat events during the Halloween season!
Loving Neighbors Mission Camp
Reliance was proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Loving Neighbors Mission Camp in Virginia Beach.
This week of service brought youth and adults together to repair homes and build meaningful relationships in our local community. From wheelchair ramps to roof repairs, these volunteers made a real difference, and we’re honored to support that mission.
Visiting Local Schools
We had a blast visiting local elementary schools for show and tell! The students got a close-up look at our ambulances, met some of our awesome team members, and learned a little about what we do every day to help our community.
Comradery
Celebrating as a Team
From celebrating life’s biggest milestones to enjoying the little moments in between, camaraderie is at the heart of our culture. Whether it was cheering on teammates at baby showers, flipping waffles on National Waffle Day, firing up the grill for Labor Day, bringing the heat at our Chili Cook-Off, or pampering our team on Employee Appreciation Day, these moments brought us together and strengthened the bonds that make our team so special.
EMS Week
During EMS Week 2025 in May, Reliance Medical Transport proudly celebrated the incredible heroes on our team. The week was packed with fun and appreciation, featuring swag, delicious lunches, professional chair massages, ice cream, exciting games, and even an outdoor carnival!
Friendsgiving
Our teams came together in November for memorable Friendsgiving gatherings centered on great food, laughter, and time spent with one another. More than the meals themselves, it was the sense of connection and appreciation across our teams that made these celebrations so meaningful.
Holiday Celebrations
Our teams celebrated the holidays across all of our locations in true Reliance fashion. Each gathering reflected the camaraderie, gratitude, and teamwork that define who we are. No matter the location, it was a joyful reminder that our people are the heart of Reliance Medical Transport.
